Composites Technician – Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeships

Our Composites Technician apprenticeship is designed for those who provide technical support to engineers within a Composites Manufacturing environment. Apprentices will develop knowledge and skills in the disciplines of design, mould tool making and preparation, part lay-up, curing, testing, inspection, repair and material science, by completing a range of mandatory and optional units.

On completion, apprentice is eligible to apply for Engineering Technician (EngTech) status with the Institute of Materials (IOM3) and/or the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)

Duration: 36 months

***NEW***Mechatronics Maintenance Technician – Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeships

Our Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship is designed for those who ensure that plant and equipment perform to the required standard to facilitate production targets regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost within High Value Manufacturing environments.>

Typically the work would cover a broad range of activities include installation, testing, fault finding and the on-going planned maintenance of complex automated equipment. This requires the application of a complex blend of skills, knowledge and occupational behaviours across the electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power and control systems disciplines.

On completion, apprentice is eligible to apply for Engineering Technician (EngTech) status with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)

Duration: 48 months

***NEW***Engineering Technician: Machinist – Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeships

Our Machinist apprenticeship is designed for those who are involved in highly skilled, complex and precision work. Machining components from specialist materials using conventional machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and CNC machine tools. The work would typically cover a broad range of activities including set up, operation and adjustment of equipment settings, production, editing and use of CNC programmes along with measurement and inspection of components and adjustment of equipment to improve performance.

On completion, apprentice is eligible to apply for Engineering Technician (EngTech) status with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)

Duration: 42 months

Civil Engineering Technician – Level 3 Built Environment Apprenticeships

Our Civil Engineering Technician apprenticeship is designed for those who provide technical support to engineers and other construction professionals in the design, development, construction, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of the built environment and infrastructure. Apprentices will develop knowledge and skills by completing a range of mandatory and optional units

Typically the work would cover a broad range of activities include installation, testing, fault finding and the on-going planned maintenance of complex automated equipment. This requires the application of a complex blend of skills, knowledge and occupational behaviours across the electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power and control systems disciplines.

On completion, apprentice is eligible to apply for Engineering Technician (EngTech) status with the relevant professional engineering institutions

Our Digital Engineering Technician apprenticeship is designed for those who produce detailed solutions to achieve the optimum performance of built environment projects via digital models and presentations using software, sketches and electronic visualisations. Apprentices will typically support Digital Engineers or other functional specialists in completing complex tasks using digital engineering techniques
