iMet

Range of Short Courses tailored to Composites Sector

We offer a range of 1 and 2-day courses for the Composites sector. Designed for those who want a general introduction to the materials used in the composites industry as well as courses that deliver hands on experience in the production and process requirements for prepreg and resin infusion. We also have courses that explore the use of 3D printing within composites as an aid to exploring alternative design approaches.

November /December dates available for all courses, please contact iMET for more details: hello@imet.co.uk

Fundamentals of Composite Materials:
1 day / £500 per person
This course will introduce the materials used in the composite industry, including reinforcement, matrices and core material.

Prepreg Composite Components – Process and Production
2 day / £1000 per person
This course will include theoretical and practical teaching to demonstrate the production and process requirements for prepreg composites. It is recommended that candidates have a basic understanding of composite materials or have completed the 1-day Fundamentals of Composite Materials course before progressing onto this course.

Resin Infusion Components – Process and Production
2 day / £1000 per person
This course will include theoretical and practical teaching to demonstrate the production and process requirements for resin infusion. It is recommended that candidates have a basic understanding of composite materials or have completed the 1-day Fundamentals of Composite Materials course before progressing onto this course.

Use of 3D Printing for Composites
2 day / £1000 per person
This course will include theoretical and practical teaching to demonstrate the variety of opportunities to use 3D printing within composites manufacture to improve process efficiency, reduce cost and explore alternative design approaches.
