CORONAVIRUS – COVID-19
Last updated: 18 March 2020
The health and safety of our students, staff and visitors is our first priority.
In light of these unprecedented times and to keep our students, staff and visitors safe, we have made the decision to close the iMET facility.
Our plan is to move our apprenticeships to a fully online learning model where practically possible, with the following arrangements in place:
- We will cease all face-to-face teaching from end of play today: Wednesday 18 March
- On Thursday 19 and Friday 20 we will be open as usual for staff only so that everyone can focus on their own preparations for next week when we move to a fully online learning model for our apprenticeships and working from home. This will give staff and students time to organise IT equipment and collect together other materials and learning resources
- We will be postponing all scheduled short-course training until further notice and exploring the options of delivering these online at a future date.
This closure comes as the country moves to a more stringent delay phase and social distancing rules. There have been no confirmed cases at iMET.
We will be providing further updates via this website and will continue to follow the government’s advice. If you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are sorry for the inconvenience and hope that you stay safe and well.
