Central to iMET’s philosophy is that we are employer-led.
Our role bridges the gap between existing Engineering educational institutions to provide specialist, relevant training and we can only do that by partnering with you to ensure training is tailored to your needs.
Our approach is dynamic and flexible in delivering a range of courses to meet the evolving needs of the local economy where traditional training provision is not able to cope. Our flexibility means we can offer both tailored apprenticeship programs spanning 2-4 years or we can provide one-off short courses on a range of topics bespoke to your requirements.
As a new-style educational facility, we don’t follow the typical academic calendar year, which means that we can offer training all year round, to suit your business needs.
It also means we offer innovative teaching methods, whether this is in the form of block-based study as opposed to traditional ‘day release’ type study, or project-based study, where students are exposed to real-life situations and can apply their knowledge and skills to solving real business problems.
“Apprenticeships are a great way for us to bring in new talent into our business. Being able to partner with iMET to develop Composite modules that truly represent our business is a huge step forward for us, reducing the need for additional inhouse training. It also helps us to attract and retain our staff longer term as our business grows.”
