iMET – it’s new; an innovation in training. Born back in 2012 from an identified need to deliver advanced technical skills training in manufacturing, engineering and technology, iMET offers an alternative answer to the industry’s skills gap and the UK’s much publicised decline in productivity.
Most importantly, iMET defines the need to meet employers’ demands. The iMET change in approach is dynamic and flexible in delivering a range of courses to meet the evolving needs of the local economy where traditional training provision is not able to cope.
iMET is providing a range of specialist, advanced courses that meet employers’ demands. By this very nature of delivery the facility is offering courses as supplementary resources for other training providers in the region. iMET is liaising with specialist training providers to provide the relevant courses for local employers.
Initial provision includes: HND/HNC courses across engineering disciplines, specialist courses in manufacturing, engineering and technology, digital technologies, sector leadership & management and potential future apprenticeships, including BIM.
